Larisa Ivanovna Efremova

L.I. Efremova hold the position of Deputy Education Minister of the Republic of Kalmykia within several years. During that time, L.I. Efremova has made a significant contribution to the implementation of educational reforms in the Republic, as well as to the development of the level of national education.
Due to her personal qualities such as energy, initiative, diligence, accomplishment and responsibility for a task she was charged with, L.I. Efremova was invited in Moscow to continue working at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, where she was committed to regulate all issues related to the higher education training of specialists from Asian, African, Middle East and Latin American countries.
Increase in number of international students in Russian Universities from 150 to 265 thousand came out from the fruitful work of L.I. Efremova within the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, which raised Russia in the world ranking from 9th to 6th place by this indicator.
Working for several years as Deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo (a position equivalent to the position of federal Deputy Minister), L.I. Efremova was the author of a number of innovative projects on the foreign candidates selection improvement to study in Russia.
According to the international classification, L.I. Efremova is a doctor of philosophy, who conducts a large-scale research work, and is in charge of a huge number of important government projects development concerning the training of specialists for foreign countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Rossotrudnichestvo awarded L.I. Efremova the medals; she was also repeatedly encouraged by awards from educational institutions of foreign countries. Likewise, she represents the Russian Federation in working groups, commissions, expert communities operating on a multilateral basis.
Currently she holds the position of Vice-Rector for international affairs of the RUDN University, where approximately 8500 foreign citizens from 155 countries of the world are studying.
